 As the tipping point for climate change mitigation approaches, sectoral actors struggle to navigate ESG and sustainability regulations needed for adapting to a climate-restricted economy. Moreover, from mandatory climate disclosures and framework alignment to reporting requirements and carbon accounting, the burden on industries is growing faster than their internal capabilities. This often leads to inconsistent reporting, hidden risks, and missed opportunities in climate finance.

 

At Giero Consulting, we help organizations respond to this growing complexity by turning sustainability and ESG requirements into clear and manageable processes. Our role is to facilitate accounting for sustainability and climate indicators (e.g. carbon emissions) and bridge the gap between the evolving regulations and the practical realities of how organizations operate. We design tailored ESG strategies and compliance solutions that support organizations as requirements continue to evolve. Our work covers sustainability strategy development, GHG audit preparation, reporting readiness, and disclosure support. A major part of our work includes assisting companies with carbon and climate reporting, risk assessment, and GHG accounting across Scopes 1, 2, and 3. We also help organizations prepare for voluntary and mandatory frameworks such as SASB, GRI, and IFRS or ISSB. For that, we provide reliable data and governance mechanisms that companies can maintain over time.

These connections have allowed us to support organizations in North America and Europe to improve on ESG and sustainability disclosure. We are also in a position to help developing countries institutionalize carbon verification through us, using their own local human resources. We have supported companies in building audit-ready systems as a pre-step to entering formal verification. This experience positions us well as we expand into independent verification and assurance services.
