
Jessica is the founder and Principal Advisor of Giero Consulting. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant based in Canada. She started her career supporting external audit clients at a Big 4 before moving to one of Canada's largest retail corporations and the largest non-public sector employer, Loblaw Companies Limited. Over the years, she practiced internal audit and risk management in many areas of the business and across the mining, manufacturing, and petrochemical industries.
In 2021, Jessica Giero transitioned her career to ESG and sustainability. She has created multiple financial processes and controls around ESG data and disclosures. Since taking on that role, Jessica has found her purpose in supporting sustainability and ESG projects. In 2024, she took the leap to devote her time to making a more direct impact with sustainability clients. Mrs. Giero is passionate about helping companies make sustainable decisions that increase their value and long-term success.
Jessica is well-versed in ESG regulatory disclosure requirements as well as the most reputable voluntary frameworks. She is an effective ESG strategist, supervisor, and lead auditor.
Jessica has 14+ years of experience supporting clients of different sizes, styles, and across many industries such as cleantech, retail, manufacturing, grocery, health care, apparel, supply chain, financial services, REITs, and oil & gas. Jessica is an authentic leader. She brings an organized and calm approach to each engagement. She excels at getting up to speed, laying out a plan, and getting things done.
